Candlelight Christmas Eve service
The Salem United Methodist Church will be having a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service on December 24th at 7:00 p.m.
There will be a lot of Christmas music including the singing of carols and the choir singing "Joy Has Dawned." Laura Watson
will play a flute solo on "Do You Hear What I Hear." John Roberts and Rev. Linda Watson will play an organ/piano duet on a medley of Christmas Carols
entitled "Christmas Night." The story of the birth of Jesus will be read from the gospel of Luke. Rev. Linda Watson's sermon is called "Jesus is Born."
After the white Christ Candle is lit on our Advent Wreath each individual person will have a candle lit while we all sing "Silent Night, Holy Night." The worship service will close with
"Joy To the World" as we proclaim the good news that the Lord has come. The community is invited to this meaningful and joyous worship service. The Salem United Methodist
Church is located just up the brick street off the town square.
