Document about CDC back-to-school guidelines is false

A photo circulation on social media stating CDC regulations for returning to school is false. Salem Community School Superintendent Jon Acton said many departments will work together to determine what the start of the 2020-21 school year will look like.

"Unfortunately, the image circulating on social media is not accurate guidance from the CDC," he said. "All schools across the country will work in conjunction with the federal government, state executive offices as well as state and local health officials to determine how and when in-person education will take place.

"The CDC has posted interim guidance for re-opening schools, which at this time is still very fluid. The document circulating on social media is substantially different from the CDC and has added to the stress to already overloaded students, parents and educators."
