Mr. SHS to be crowned

In its seventh year, the Mr. SHS competition takes center stage at the Salem Middle School on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m.

The Mr. Salem High School contest flips the script on the pageant world as seven young men compete for the Mr. SHS crown.

Past years have proven to be an evening of fun and laughter. The contest will feature formal wear, a talent segment, as well as a pre-recorded contestant “roast.” With the help of the SHS dance team, the young men have found moves and skills they never new they had to perform a routine together.

Contestants are: Johnny Moore, sponsored by the soccer team; Jackson McNeely, sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Miller; Ty Sweeney, sponsored by the football team; Chase Coleman, sponsored by French Club; Peyton Farmer, sponsored by the football team; Jimmy Gibson, sponsored by the choir; and Blake White, whose sponsor is FFA.

General admission is $5 and VIP seating is $10. Tickets are available in the athletic office at Salem High School and can be purchased at the door of the show.

All proceeds go to the Salem High School girls’ basketball team.
