Noah Hardy is congratulated by Principal Mary Anne Knapp.

West Washington held its commencement Friday evening, awarding diplomas to 50 students.

"I'm outta here!" said Noah Hardy, one of the graduates, prior to the start of the ceremony. Hardy is one of several students who have enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After completing his initial commitment, Hardy said he will consider re-enlisting, making the Navy a career.

Hattie Griffitts was salutatorian of the Class of 2019 and Riley Guetig was valedictorian. Both had GPAs exceeding 4.0. Fourteen students were awarded Academic Honors diplomas and eleven received Technical Honors diplomas.

In addition to Griffitts and Guetig, summa cum laude students (GPA of 3.9+) were Kaylee Cheatham, Emma Miller, Lillian Phipps and Amanda Porter.

Madison Misamore and Breanna Tower graduated magna cum laude (GPA of 3.8-3.9).

Cum laude (GPA of 3.7-3.79) graduates were Amethyst Alcorn-Maddix, Blaine Blevins and Madeline Bowsman.
