Chamber nominations are due Friday

Do you have a favorite business in town who deserves recognition? Or do you know someone who goes above and beyond giving of their time and energy for the community? Maybe you know someone to nominate for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Don’t miss this opportunity to recognize a person or business for their outstanding work in this community.
Nominations for the 2018 Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year are due this Friday to the Washington County Chamber of Commerce office.
The Business of the Year award is based on the following: Washington County Chamber of Commerce member in good standing; located in Washington County; community leadership; outreach to others; desire for positive impact; community vision; innovation/creativity; community support/commitment; positive work environment; leadership in hospitality/customer service.
Citizen of the Year based on the following qualities that are not job/business related: commitment, support, skills, leadership, outreach to others, desire for positive impact, integrity, community vision, innovation and creativity. Former winners are not eligible.
Young entrepreneur is based on: number of years in business or field, how did they get started in the business, future goals in business, community commitment, achievements, description of business and/or experience, career/educational growth. The nominee will be asked to complete a questionnaire. To be eligible for the award, the nominee must be 16-30 years of age.
The forms are located in the Chamber of Commerce office on the second floor of the Washington County Courthouse.
