Small business grants available

Each year the Washington County Economic Growth Partnership strives to support small business and industry in the community. As a member of the WCEGP, a small business/industry has many benefits available to them such as quarterly membership meetings, training workshops, marketing assistance, access to the WCEGP Revolving Loan Fund and Regional Impact Fund, to name a few.

The WCEGP and partner Hoosier Uplands – Community Development & Improvement Program are excited to announce that the Washington County Entrepreneurship Fund grant  committee will be accepting applications for another grant cycle in 2018.  WCEGP members can apply for a matching (1:1) grant up to $2,500 that can be used for equipment, furniture or professional fees.

The WCEF awarded seven grants in 2017 in Washington County. These grants helped to enhance or expand existing local small businesses promoting continued growth.

WCEGP Executive Director, Sabrina Burdine mentioned, “We have been able to help 14 Washington County small businesses with this grant opportunity so far and we look forward to seeing what WCEF round three will produce.”

David Miller, chief executive officer of Hoosier Uplands added, “We at Hoosier Uplands are pleased to be able to support this program for Washington County in 2018.”

For more information or to request a grant application, contact Burdine at the WCEGP office, 812.883.8803 or email sabrina.burdine@wcegp.org.
