The water leak has been fixed in Livionia, but until water samples come back the Boil Water Advisory remains.

Sara Jo Wiseman, General Manager of the Posey Township Water Corporation is reporting a  leak on SR 56 west of Livonia.  They are currently in the process of repairing it.  They have issued a boil water advisory, effective at 4 p.m., Oct. 27, until further notice.  The advisory is for the service area east of the Intersection of Bridgewater Road and State Road 56.

If you should have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give me a call:  812-620-5068.

Dear Water Customer:

In consultation with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, it has been determined that the water customers should boil their drinking water.  This precautionary measure is recommended because we encountered damage to a main line in your service area.  The area under the boil water advisory includes the service area east of Bridgewater Road/State Road 56 Intersection.  This would include SR 337, Dick Wilson Road, Town of Livonia, Myers Road and Batt Road.

It is recommended that all cooking and drinking water be brought to a complete boil for five (5) minutes before using.  Please continue to boil all cooking and drinking water until we notify you that it is no longer necessary.

We appreciate your cooperation during this time and will update you as necessary when clean samples have been collected.  If you have any questions concerning the drinking water problem, please contact your water department at _812-472-3432.
