Fair fun underway

Mavrick Cox, with mom Amanda, wasn't too sure about meeting Superman and Batman at the baby contest. (Winners are in The Leader).

The 2019 edition of the Washington County Farmers-Merchants Fair is underway.

One big change is the cancellation of the Xtreme Rough Stock Rodeo Tour, originally set for tonight's grandstand entertainment. Due to the ongoing wet weather, it has been postponed until Sept. 28. Tickets will be honored on that date or see the fair board office for refund information.

Start your day off with a cinnamon roll from the Washington County Sheep Association at 8 tomorrow. The 4-H Meat Goat Show is at 9.

Senior Citizens Day, sponsored by Hoosier Uplands, begins at 10 at the shelterhouse.

The 4-H Dairy Beef show starts at 5, followed by the 4-H County Born & Raised Beef show.

Classic Country will entertain at 7.

The grandstand entertainment is KOI ATV drag racing.
