If there is one thing that puts Salem on the map nationally, it's the Salem Speedway. The iconic race track is now known as Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery. It's where many racing legends got their start, including Jeff Gordon. This 1994 photo shows a young Gordon - just 23 at the time - during an autograph session at the Speedway.

Wonder how many locals still have their Gordon autograph?
