Farmer appreciation luncheon Friday

Farmers enjoy last year's event.

In honor of Washington County farmers, the USDA Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Purdue Extension, and Soil and Water Conservation District, will host a Farmer Appreciation Open House on July 19th with a free luncheon.  

The open house and lunch is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the USDA Service Center, 801 Anson St., Salem.  

All farm families are encouraged to enjoy a lunch of hot dogs and the fixings. Ice cream dessert will be provided by Purdue Extension-Washington County. Reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling 812-883-3006 ext.3, but are not required. Come out and let the staff show their appreciation for the great job done by our Washington County farmers.
