Food giveaways

Dare to Care food distribution will be held this Saturday, Aug. 15, from 9 - 11 a.m. (or until food runs out) at the Washington County Fairgrounds.  

Fellowship Baptist Church, in partnership with Dare to Care Food Bank, will hold their monthly food distribution on Monday, Aug. 17, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The location has moved from the church basement to Fellowship Baptist Church Mission Center at 9271 E. US Hwy 150 Hardinsburg. This giveaway is open for residents in Hardinsburg, Livonia, Fredericksburg and Palmyra. Please provide a photo ID and current piece of mail.

To comply with the social distancing rules food will be distributed at each site by doing a “drive thru distribution.”  This means that food recipients will be remaining in their cars and will drive past the items in a single lane, with the volunteers handing the allotted items through the window. Participants are asked to proceed through the line and leave the area to return home.
