Fundraiser for Adam Humphrey

The Salem Lions will host the Heart of a Lion fundraiser tonight (Friday, Sept. 24), prior to the Salem-Corydon varsity football game with proceeds to benefit Adam Humphrey.

Humphrey, who is a Salem alumni, recently underwent heart transplant surgery. He played football at Salem High School and is a former coach at Salem Middle School.

There will be a car show/cruise in on North Harrison Street between the school and the football stadium. All are invited to come check out the cool cars and grab a bite to eat. Dinners of pulled pork will be available for purchase as well as ice cream. Red ribbons for heart disease to be worn for the game will be on sale for $1. There will also be a silent auction with items including gift baskets, team autographed helmet and jersey, student artwork and more. Raffle tickets will be sold to win a shotgun and much more.

There will be music and face painting by the art club.

The fundraiser will take place from 5 to 7 p.m.
