Relay for Life is this weekend!

Disco for a Cure  is the theme for this year’s Washington County Relay for Life. The event is set for this Friday and Saturday, June 8, 9.
 
Relay for Life is held at the Salem High School track on North Harrison Street from Friday at 6 p.m. to Saturday at 10 a.m. 
 
The survivor lap will kick things off at 6 p.m., with the survivor tent opening at 5 p.m.
 
ReMax tethered hot air balloon rides will start after survivor and caregiver laps until the luminary ceremony begins.
 
Bidding on silent auction items will begin at 6 p.m. and end right before the closing ceremony Saturday morning.
 
Luminaria bags will be available to make in honor or memory of a loved one beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.
 
Campsite activities and fundraisers include bake sale items, face painting, duck pond with prizes, buy chances to win a Relay for Life quilt and buy chances to win a Miller’s Mini Barn.
 
A euchre tournament will follow the luminary ceremony.
 
The concession stand will be open at 6 p.m. Friday and breakfast options will be available starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
