Washington County Sheriff's Department investigating death

Local authorities are investigating the death of a 32-year-old male, Anthony Godbey, who was found at the Livonia Park shelter house located at 130 West Church Street.

Officials were dispatched to the park in reference to a person hanging around 11 a.m. Friday morning.

A press release from the Washington County Sheriff's Department did not list a cause of death, but stated it was a reported suicied. The matter is still being investigated.

Godbey's last post on his Facebook page was a general statement that simply said, "Love Yall." It was posted around midnight on Sept. 17.
