Bob "Gib" Gabbard

Bob "Gib" Gabbard, 65 of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 15, 1953 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Elijah and Norma J. (Howell) Gabbard. Bob was an employee of Merrill Manufacturing in Scottsburg, Indiana, where he had worked for 18 years. He had also previously worked at the old D & M Machine & Tool in Scottsburg, Indiana. Bob graduated from Salem High School in 1971 and loved to fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Anna Gabbard; a brother, Steven Gabbard; two sisters, Sheila Fay Gabbard and Brenda Hutton and a grandson, Raiden Gabbard Eversole. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Renee (Cooper) Gabbard; a daughter, Brittany Gabbard of Janesville, Wisconsin; a brother, Ronald Gabbard of Cassopolis, Michigan; three sisters, Phyllis Sparks of Athens, Tennessee, Joyce Hall of Little York, Indiana and Deloris Lawson of Lee County, Virginia and two grandchildren, Shane and Eli Gabbard. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Little York Fire Department in Little York, Indiana.
