Mr. A.F. Davidson, age 85, of Salem, passed away Monday, February 15 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mr. Davidson was born February 8, 1936 in Oneida, Kentucky the son of William Henry and Ollie Ledford Davidson.  He was a member of Highland Baptist Church and a retired employee of Child Craft Industries.

He married Virgie Thompson on June 26, 1959 and she preceded him in death on January 16, 2012.  He was also preceded in death by two sons:  Toby Davidson and David Davidson, a daughter:  Sheila Martin (Jeff), four brothers, and five sisters, and one grandson.

He is survived by his son:  Milford Davidson (Debbie) of Salem, a daughter:  Linda Rothbauer (Alan) of Salem, a brother:  James Davidson of Hamilton, Ohio, a sister:  Lucy Stewart of Salem, 12 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11AM at Highland Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Saturday from 10AM-time of service at the church.
