Mrs. Betty Ann Sidwell, age 72, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, July 16 at her home.

Mrs. Sidwell was born July 19, 1946 in Lee County, Virginia the daughter of Creed Monroe and Olga Mae Coomer Maness. 

Betty is survived by five sons:  Kermit Cornett Jr. of Medora, Jeff Cornett (Tammie Jo) of Brownstown, Johnny Cornett (Valerie Lee) of Salem, Paul Cornett (Lisa) of Salem and Danny Sidwell of Salem, seven brothers:  Robert Maness of Georgetown, Claude Maness of Salem, Reese Maness of Salem, David Maness of Drydon, Virginia, Richard Maness and Shef Maness, a sister:  Linda Brewer of Virginia, 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by two sons:  Bobby Sidwell and Andy Sidwell, two brothers:  George Maness and Charles Maness, and her parents. 

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 19 at 11AM at Franklin Cemetery.  Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
