Carol Gene Winslow, age 80, of New Albany, formerly of Salem, passed away on November 4, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. Born on October 13, 1938 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Henry Ford Winslow & Phyllis Imogene (Gilstrap) Winslow.

Carol Gene was a Navy Veteran. He was a retired Tool & Die Machinist & Welder for Holmes Industry of Scottsburg. He was a member of The Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Salem.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Kim Caldwell of Jeffersonville & Francen Hattabaugh of New Albany; 2 sisters, Donna Hodge & Treyon Jones both of Salem; 3 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday at 8 PM at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. There will be a private burial at the Veterans Cemetery in Madison at a later date.
