Carole Ann (Coots) Malott

Carole Ann (Coots) Malott, 76, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born Sept. 22, 1943, in Clark County, she was the daughter of Louis and Mae (Plummer) Coots.  She married Larry Michael Malott in Nov. 1971, he died  April 3, 2020.

Carole was a case worker for Family Social Services Administration.  She was a member of Fishing Creek Chapel.  Carole enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Greg (Laura) Tolbert of Campbellsburg; a stepdaughter, Tammy McVay of Campbellsburg; grandchildren, Heather (Luis) Chavarria of Crane, Texas, Tiffany (Clifford) Pruett and Isaiah (Kelsey) McVay, both of Mitchell; 5 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Kate Gray of Sellersburg, Terry Lee Snelling and Murl Coots, both of Salem, Roy Coots of Henryville, Keith Coots of French Lick and Mari Coots of Orleans; a niece, Whitney (Rick) English of Charlottesville, Virginia, and lots of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tracy Jo Tolbert; granddaughter, Tracy Ann Tolbert; and grandson, Harley McVay.

Cremation was chosen.
