Mr. Joseph “Joe” Jackson, age 52, of Salem, passed away Friday, May 17 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

Mr. Jackson was born October 5, 1966, in Salem, the son of Donald and Wanda Payne Jackson.  He was an employee of Kimball Manufacturing in Salem.  Joe spent many years coaching, most recently as Salem Varsity Girl’s Assistant and prior to that, several years as Salem Varsity Boy’s Assistant Coach.  He also coached Football and Basketball for West Washington Schools.

Joe is survived by his wife:  Lori Roberts Jackson.  They were married June 25, 1994.  He is also survived by his son:  Zane Jackson (Baylie Musson) of Fort Wayne, his parents:  Don and Wanda Jackson of Salem, and his sister:  Teresa Jackson of Salem.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6PM and Monday from 9AM-time of service.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to:  Salem Basketball, Salem High School C/O Hank Weedin, 700 N. Harrison St. Salem, IN 47167.  Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
