Lynn Murray, age 77 of Salem, Indiana passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 7:53 pm, in his residence.
Born July 14, 1941 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of the late Coleman H. Murray and Mary Frances (Stonecipher) Murray. 
He was retired from the old National City Bank in 2000 and retired from the old Community First Bank in 2007.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salem, had been a life resident of Washington County and a 1959 Salem High School graduate.  He loved traveling on his motorcycle and was the oldest winged mini sprint car driver at Thunder Valley Raceway.

Lynn was a member of the Salem Masonic Lodge #21 F. & A.M..  He was the first Master Councilor for the newly chartered Salem DeMolay Chapter.  He was Master of the Salem Lodge in 1972 and 1976 and Secretary and Treasurer of the Lodge for over 20 years.  He held various positions at the Salem Lodge and did them all with honor and distinction to himself and to the Lodge and Fraternity. Lynn was also on the DeMolay Advisory Board for many years and was a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite, Indianapolis Valley.
On, August 12, 1961 he married Vickie (Thomas) Murray, who survives.
Also surviving are: 3 Daughters: Debbie Pendleton of Salem, Indiana; Stacey Nierste of Fishers, Indiana and Michelle Feist of Salem, Indiana. 
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
7 Grandchildren: Kristin Burman, Derek Mills, Paige Nierste, Kiley Gilbert, Adison, Kamiren and Aubrey Feist.
6 Great grandchildren:  Bentley and Ryker Mills, Bella and Gracelyn Burman, Lexi Bussone and Kanyen Feist.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Sheila Martin.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Martin officiating. 
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
