Mr. Paul Edison Brown, 71, of Salem passed away Friday, February 9 at his home, after battling cancer.

Mr. Brown was born in New Albany, Indiana on May 7, 1946 the son of Raymond and Mable Saltsgaver Brown.

He married Anna Faith Miller on January 30, 2000 and passed away 10 days after their anniversary.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Brown, two sons:  Eddie Brown of Hardinsburg and Jason Brown of Marengo, two step-sons:  Michael Gibson and Charles Simpson both of Salem, one step-daughter:  Michelle Winkler of Acton, Indiana, four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild, two sisters:  Carolyn Sears of Clarksville and Freda Jones of Huntingburg, and one brother:  Ralph Brown of English.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters:  Naomi Bullerdick and Dorothy Shaffer and brother:  Howard Brown.

Paul was a member of the carpenters union and worked for and retired from Smith Contractors. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran.

Paul loved his lord and his family.  He enjoyed karaoke, working in the garden and was a wood craftsman in his spare time.  Paul truly enjoyed his life.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Big Spring Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 11AM-time of service.
