Pekin, IN:  Richard W. Marshall, 87, of Pekin died Monday, February 18, 2019 at Traditions at Hunter Station, Sellersburg, IN.

Richard was born on January 23, 1932 in Martinsburg, IN. He was the son of the late Theodore and Ada (Nale) Marshall. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired employee of Tecumseh Engine and a former employee of BF Goodrich. He also was the caretaker of Mt. Washington Cemetery for many years.

He was a member of the Martinsburg Church of Christ, a lifelong resident of Washington County, IN and a 1950 graduate of Pekin High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Ada (Nale) Marshall and two brothers, Rolland and Paul Marshall.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Marjorie (Howard) Marshall, his daughter, Kathy (Mark) Whitmire of Rochester, NY; two brothers, Ernest (Jean) Marshall of Clarksville, IN and David (Hanna) Marshall of Greenville, IN; one sister, Audrey (Albert) Will of Lexington, KY; one sister-in-law, Katherine Marshall of Palmyra, IN; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Martinsburg Church of Christ at 11 a.m.  Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at Love Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the Martinsburg Church of Christ on Saturday, February 23 from 9 a.m. until time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Washington Cemetery Association, c/o Bonita Kruer, 440 South Gobbler Knob Road, Pekin IN  47165.
