William C. "Bill" Ruddell

William C. Ruddell, 66, of Westville, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, June 1st, 2020. 

William was born to Donald and Anna Louise Ruddell of Clark County on July 4, 1953.  William was a retired police chief of the Salem Police Department, where he worked as a policeman for 33 years.  He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Portage. 

William was involved in many community clubs including the Westville Masons, Orak Shriners, South Bend Scottish Rite and York Rite of Salem. 

He is survived by his mother, Anna Louise Ruddell; his wife, Regina Ruddell, Westville; one son, Donald Ruddell; one brother, Donald Ruddell, The Villages, Florida; one sister, Mary Lewis, Sarasota, Florida; one grandson, James Derek Horner (Kara), Salem; and Great Grandchildren Lilith and Layla Horner. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald, and son, Christopher Ruddell.
