Stinnett

After a probable cause affidavit was filed on Sept. 11 for his arrest, William L. Stinnett, 61, Orleans, was arrested on a warrant for child molesting on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Indiana State Trooper Tyler Matthew reported he spoke with Stinnett at the end of May. Stinnett admitted to him he had touched one girl inappropriately at least four times over the past year, when she would have been 13. He said one incident occurred at his home in Orleans and the other three were at her home in Washington County.

When asked about another girl, 11, he denied having touched her, but said he could have “said something to her that she took in the wrong way,” and said “he would have to be careful how he touched her because she would carry on like he hurt her.”
