Sheriff’s department responds to one ice-related accident
State and county highway trucks have been busy all day treating state highways and county roadways. The freezing rain has changed over to snow with a couple of inches of accumulation expected.
Sheriff Roger Newlon would like to remind motorists to;
-Leave early and allow ample time to travel safely and reach your destination.
-Drive slowly and be on constant alert for icy patches on roadways.
-Always wear your seatbelt.
The Washington County Sheriffs Department responded to one ice/snow related accident today on State Road 56 East and the accident was investigated by Chief Deputy Brent Miller.
