UPDATE ON ROADWAYS!

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department worked a personal injury accident on Blue River Road last night. The driver of the vehicle in the photos slid off the roadway, went through the guardrail and rolled over onto its side in a creek. The driver was transported by the Washington County Ambulance Service to St. Vincent for treatment of minor injuries. Deputy Tory Hildreth is investigating the crash.

The Sheriff’s Department has worked an additional (6) property damage accidents since midnight Sunday.

The state highway department is currently plowing state roadways which are still snow covered in several areas.

The county highway department has been out since about 4 pm Monday and will continue to plow throughout the night. County roadways are still ice and snow covered throughout the county. Deputy Joe Keltner described the county roadways as very slick and hazardous. Please slow down and allow for additional travel time to safely reach your destination.

And remember to ALWAYS STAY WELL BEHIND A WORKING SNOW PLOW.

Thank you to all the state and county workers, who are working throughout the night to make our roads safer.
