Lions upset Pirates, WW wins, EHS falls

A swarm of Lions bottle up the dynamic Lukes from Charlestown.

The first week of sectionals are in the books and two Washington County teams came out with big wins. Salem led from start to finish to pull off the upset win over Charlestown. They didn't completely stop Marion Lukes but they slowed him down enough to get the 27-20 win. West Washington trailed Springs Valley at the half but came back to win 27-20 to move on to the next round. Eastern hung tough, but just couldn't get their offense going to hang with Perry Central as they lost 27-6.
