WW tops Eastern, Salem falls to NH

Harrison Sanford high steps into the endzone after catching a slant from Holden Bowsman.

The Senators got out to a fast on Friday night and that was the key to pulling out the 26-6 over Eastern. A quick score on offense and an early turnover from Eastern helped West Washington jump out to a 14-0 lead less than two minutes into the game. From there Eastern wasn't able to get much offense going to mount a comeback.

Salem fell in their season opener to North Harrison 27-17. The Cougars got a couple of big runs to help them pull ahead of the Lions and some injuries kept the Lions from matching their pace.
