Washington County will be well represented at the Bedford North Lawrence Regional cross country meet on Saturday. All three schools were able to send at least one runner to advance to the regional round. The Eastern boys had the best showing as they were able to place third and advance as a team. They were led by Rhett Pennington who finished 13th, Uriah Guthrie who finished right behind him in 14th, and Brandon Sill who finished just behind them in 15th. Cathern Jackson-Finley and Claire Olesh will represent the Lady Musketeers as they finished 25th and 36th respectively to punch their tickets to the next round. For Salem, Connor Dawson and Jax Vogt will move on to the next round. They finished 29th and 36th. Tressa Pate will represent the Lady Lions with her 21st place finish. Zoe Wallace will be the lone West Washington runner. She finished 20th to advance to the next round. All three teams will be at the Bedford regional on Saturday. The boys’ race is slated to start at 10:30, with the girls’ race following at 11:15 a.m.
