Chalk artist sharing the gospel in Canton

For the past 35 years John Lowery, chalk artist, has shared the gospel message through chalk art (Images of Christ), from Israel to Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Lowery will be the guest speaker on Palm Sunday, March 28, at Canton United Methodist Church. The evening service begins at 7 p.m.

Lowery has paintings in Russia and Italy and has done artwork for NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty. Lowery said, “Most of all I use the gift God has given me to share His love wherever I go. My wife whom I love deeply is a great support in my ministry.”

Lowery has served as ministry chaplain at Scott County Detention Center, Scott Memorial Hospital and Scott County District 2 school.

Everyone is invited to attend the service. Social distancing and masks are requested. The church is located at 1412 N. Canton Rd.
