Oppel receives ROAR award
Ray Oppel, school board member, was recognized by the school board with an unusual ROAR award at the October school board meeting. Since retiring from the school, Oppel dedicates his time at the elementary school helping direct traffic at Bradie Shrum Elementary School. He was presented the awared by assistant superintendent Dr. Kim Thurston (left) and director of student services Brent Minton.
