Home, Garden and Business Expo right around the corner
It’s almost time for the annual Leader Publishing Company’s Home, Garden and Business Expo, held at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The dates for this year’s event are Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22.
The Canton Lions Club will be serving fish and more on Friday night, starting at 5 p.m. After enjoying your meal , visitors are invited to browse the vendor booths until 8 p.m.
Saturday’s activities start at 9 a.m. and will end at noon. The Canton Missions Team will be serving breakfast, starting around 8 a.m. They will be serving sausage gravy and biscuits, sausage, pancakes, sausage/egg/cheese sandwiches, orange juice, milk, chocolate milk, coffee, water. Cost will be eat what you want/pay what you want.
Every vendor has a drawing for a prize valued at $25 or more. In addition, grand prizes, including a chair and a grill, will be available to all who visit every booth and return their marked cards for the Saturday afternoon drawing.
If there is something you need for your home or garden, chances are there will be somebody there to talk to. Here are some of the vendors committed to this year’s event: Amanda Cole Homes, Florence’s Flowers and Gifts, Growby’s, Primax Compozit, Root’s RV Sales, Titan Graphics, Day Company, Hoosier Realty, Mosier Family Chiropractic, Salem Apothecary, Salem Deck and Fence, Westside Baptist Church, Springer and Springer, Good Earth Master Gardeners, D&Y Boutique, Tammy McIntyre-Remax and Justin Green for Mayor.
Also, Walnut Tree Tax Service, Leaf Filter, Fox Purlee, Bubba Dump Rentals, State Farm-Jason Wade, CZ Designs, Twisted Electric, Travis Nicks with Thrivent, Potter’s Carpets, B&S Mobile RV, USDA-Washington County Soil and Water, Brent Miller, 821 Woodworks, Pampered Chef, 31 Gifts, Avon, and Jone Jones.
West Washington FFA will have plants for sale and Vallonia Tree Nursery will be providing free trees again this year. The types of trees will be announced closer to the event.
Instructions on how to care for the trees will be in the annual Home, Garden and Business Expo section, available to all subscribers of the newspaper and those who attend the two-day show.
“The Home, Garden and Business Expo gives exhibitors a chance to display their products and visitors the opportunity to view decorating, landscaping, home improvement services and so much more, all in one destination,” said Rhonda Smith, general manager.
