Electrial Fire Harms Little At Bloomin Onion

There was an electric receptacle fire at the Bloomin Onion food trailer and truck on Thursday afternoon. The fire was brought quickly under the control by the Salem Department. The business is located at Posey and Mullberry.

The fire started at an 120vac outlet in the back of a White Ford Box van, at a cord running to the adjacent Bloomin Onion Booth.

There was no major damage to the inside of the truck or the food trailer.

Fireman Lt. Gamble and Fireman Travis Branaman quickly investigated the fire. The fire was brought to the attention of Salem Police Chief Eric Mills by a bystander.

Also, on the scene was Washington Co. Sheriff Detective Brad Naugle.

The damage was estimated to be about $100.

Julie Soliday, owner, said the food trailer and truck are used at outdoor festivals and fairs. The truck maybe open for the Eclipse at the Salem location.
