Tulip Walk Saturday

With the unseasonable warm temperatures of late, the red tulips surrounding the Salem Square, have starting showing themselves. They will be celebrated with a Tulip Walk on Saturday, April 10.

The first annual Tulip Walk, coordinated by the Washington County Tourism Committee and the Master Gardeners of Washington County, will be held Saturday, April 10, beginning at 9 a.m.
The event is a chance to get out of the house and shop local, all while searching for a red tulip in each participating business. The tulip will contain an answer to a trivia question on an entry card, picked up in front of the Salem Apothecary in Salem or at Silver Fox or Main Street Meats in Pekin
The card can then be turned in for a chance to win gift certificates from a few of those same local businesses. It’s up to you to determine how many questions you want to answer. The cards must be turned in by 4 p.m. that day.
Check the The Salem Leader’s Tuesday, April 6, edition for more info and participating businesses in Pekin and Salem.
