Lois Jean Longworth

Lois Jean Longworth, age 82 of Salem, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 8:51 pm, in the University Of Louisville Hospital.

Born April 30, 1938 in Preston, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Walter T. and Anna R. (McNabb) McCarty .

She was the manager at Holiday Car Wash and former owner of Jeans Figure Salon.   She was a former employee of the old Bata Shoe Company, B. F. Goodrich, Duke Energy and Armour Foods.

On May 25, 1957 she married  Robert D. Longworth, who passed away September 26, 2016, they were married 59 years.

Surviving are:  2 Sons: Terry L. (Glori) Longworth of Cape Coral, Florida and Richard D. Longworth of Salem;  Twin Daughters: Rowena G. Longworth of Salem and Robin F. (Richard) Gregg of Goose Creek, South Carolina;  4 Brothers: Paul and Frank McCarty of Salem, Robert McCarty of Pekin and Mike McCarty of Sarasota, Florida;  1 Sister: Frances Neeley of Salem;  12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son: Kevin Scott Longworth and 1 sister: Wilma F. Kramer.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Friday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Bro. Neil Kenyon officiating, followed by interment at Saltillo Cemetery.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Thursday and 9 am until the time of the service on Friday.
