Mack Brown, 78, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. Mack was a devoted father, husband, and employee throughout his life. He was dedicated to his work and was a truck driver and manager for over 40 years. His job allowed him to travel all over the country. He was able to visit all 50 states, which was an accomplishment he was proud of. Mack was also an Army veteran who served his country with honor. In his leisure time, Mack enjoyed going to the casino, the horse track, and supporting the Tennessee Titans. He loved his entire family, including his dogs, and attended many family gatherings over the years. He was truly the patriarch of his family and his presence will be greatly missed.
 
He was born on April 1, 1944 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to Larcer and Dorothy (Bythe) Brown. He is preceded in death by his parents and step-son, Joseph Michael Johnson.
 
Mack is survived by his loving wife, Linda Marie Brown; daughter, Debbie (Bryant) Kost; daughter, Donna (Terry) Hammack; step-daughter, Stacey Johnson; son, Lenny Bellou; son, Mike (Tina) Brown; son, Mark Brown; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings; dogs, Sadie, Molly, and Hershey; and many other family, friends, and co-workers.
 
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Memorial Service will be at 5:00 pm on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions.
 
The family requests that contributions in Mack’s memory be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (https://stjude.org) or The Humane Society of Washington County (https://humanesocietysalemin.org).
