Mrs. Vivian M. “Vickie” Buckner, age 65, of Salem passed away Sunday, July 25 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.

Mrs. Buckner was born April 29, 1956 in Melrose Park, Illinois the daughter of Bobby Elmo Wright and Barbara Gibbs Wright Burden. 

Vivian is survived by her husband:  Robert Buckner.  They were married August 8, 1991.  She is also survived by a son:  Brandon Buckner of Salem, three daughters:  Michelle Farley of Clarksville, Angela Bierly of Salem and Tonya Buckner of Salem, four brothers:  Bobby Wright of Valparaiso, Indiana, Dennis Wright of Canton, North Carolina, Donnie Wright of New Albany, and David Wright of Valparaiso, Indiana, her step-father:  Kenneth “Pops” Burden of Cynthiana, Kentucky, and 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter:  Jennifer Lynn Sutherland.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 6PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-6PM at the funeral home.
