Website Duties

Management of established website hosted by an outside party. No coding or website creation needed.

Planning, scheduling and posting news stories, advertisements, photos and special pages to www.salemleader.com. Website manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a website. For example, he or she may manage blog posts, guest articles, images, reviews, videos and webpages.

Create dynamic ideas for advertiser pages, contests, news features, etc.

Identify and troubleshoot website technical issues.

Track site statistics.

Assist with social media campaigns and other marketing efforts

Identify ways to improve website user experience.

Manage story and photo assignments to freelance reporters.

Manager must possess qualities of effective written communication

All effective forms of written communication have these qualities:

  • Comprehensive: Includes all the relevant details

  • Accurate: All details are correct

  • Appropriate: Has the right tone and level of formality

  • Composition: Has correct spelling and grammar

  • Clear: Is understandable

Social Media

Daily postings to FaceBook and other social media sites for breaking news, information and to drive traffic to the website.

Salem Community Schools Technology Support Technician. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Chromebooks, laptops, desktops, audio/visual hardware, printers/copiers, interactive flat panels, and other classroom technologies. Provide training and assistance to staff and students in the use of technology hardware and software. Collaborate with Technology staff and other departments on new initiatives and installations.
